I’m utterly in love with the SyFy channel’s adaptation of The Magicians. The novels by Lev Grossman were engaging and presented a new way to look at magical schooling. Brakebills is no Hogwarts. The TV version ups the ante by showing us more points of view and more details earlier. It’s different than the books, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. The tone is right and Eliot and Penny are exactly what I’d hoped for.
