I’m picky when it comes to anthologies, but am also a sucker for everything Edgar Allan Poe. So, I had to peek at His Hideous Heart, a collection of fresh takes on Poe’s classics.
…and this is definitely a grabby hands YA collection. Great authors and clever takes on familiar tales that will make you fall even more in love with the stories—and maybe give you a new author or two to add to your to-read list. I mean, Tessa Gratton takes on ‘Annabel Lee’ FFS. That’s going to be ridiculously good.
His Hideous Heart (edited by Dahlia Adler) will hit stores and Kindles next week on Sept. 10.
